Gratitude Party!

This past Tuesday, REMAX Executive hosted a wonderful Client Gratitude Party. Susan Mekenney, Renee Mumford, and I had a wonderful time hosting our clients and catching up with their lives. It was so neat to hear their stories. Whether they were downsizing or upsizing, moving cross-country or just across the beltway, they all had a tale to tell. We had a ton of great laughs! It was a great opportunity to introduce one client to another, one new business owner to another. I love it when I get a referral, and even more when I am able to give a referral! Real estate allows us the great and unique opportunity to meet families from all walks of life and we have the blessing to be “thoroughfares” that can connect many avenues

The party was a great success in part due to the energy and willingness of our young adult children to step up to help us set up, move furniture around, prepare Santa’s Corners, and pose to test the backdrops. A lot of planning, thinking, testing, moving, setting, ordering, shopping, taking and bringing up and downstairs went into successfully being ready for the party. We are so grateful to these young men for stepping up and helping us succeed. Not all our children are photographed here as some were running errands for last-minute things that were needed, some ran to get us food before we collapsed from hunger. We would not have survived without their help, and the room would not have been a beautiful setup without their strength.

We really appreciate all the families that were able to make it despite the traffic due to the upcoming holiday. Some clients opted to have a late lunch in order to make it to the party, while others rearranged their work schedule in order to join us for an hour. How sweet of you, our dear clients. We were fortunate to have been able to pre-order, and secure several delicious veggies trays, fruits trays, wrap, and cold-cuts trays well in advance. At one point things were looking a little dismal!

Of course, you cannot have a great PARTY without sweets! I don’t know about you but I LOVE PIE! We placed our pie order months in advance trying to make sure we did not miss a deadline. Costco Warehouse was great working with us and our constantly changing order. We started with 40 pies ordered back in September, and less than 24 hours before the party, the order was up to 80 pies! WE were blessed to get fresh, out-of-the-oven apple and pumpkin pies. My truck smelled yummy on its way from Costco to the office. The aroma of apple and pumpkin pies is still in my truck today!

I was GOOD Santa!

Young, and Young at heart enjoyed visiting with Santa. We all wrote our letters to Santa, and we were able to take a photo to two with him. We did our best to convince Santa that we had been GOOD. I sure did try! For our young guests, we had headbands, candy canes, coloring pages, and blank letters for them to write to Santa.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for coming to our party and for trusting us. We hope you have a wonderful THANKSGIVING DAY and a wonderful holiday season.
